Kim Remenec
Owner/Instructor

Born and raised in Owosso, Kim has devoted her life to the art of dance. Kim is an alumni of Bohaty's School of Dance, training under Donna, Karolyn, and Renee Bohaty, along with being a member of Michigan State's youth competitive gymnastics team. She began assistant teaching for Donna and Karolyn Bohaty in high school and upon graduation, moved to Chicago to pursue a professional dance career.
In Chicago, Kim was a founding member of the nationally acclaimed River North Dance Company. Kim's performing experiences range from concert work with the company, to dinner theatre shows such as Phantom and the Superstars, industrial's for Avia footwear and Marshall Fields, commercial work, nightclubs such as Ditka's Citylights, and an eastern tour with ABC television.
Her extensive training has taken her to Broadway Dance Center in New York, Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood, and Lou Conte Dance Center in Chicago. In Chicago, she studied under Gus Giordano, Sherry Zunker, and Mark Dow. She continues to further her education yearly by attending teacher workshops, and conventions.
After moving back to Michigan, Kim began teaching for the Bohaty sisters. She received her teacher certification through the
Cecchetti Council of America passing grades I-V with high honors. As co-director for the Bohaty's competition team, she has consistently trained students who have placed in the overall high score rankings at regional as well as national competitions, while earning several choreography awards for her work.
Kim took over the Bohaty School of
Dance in Owosso in 2006, and the
Chesaning studio in 2007. She hopes to carry on the tradition of offering quality dance education to the area. Through her knowledge and love of dance, Kim is dedicated to the education and motivation of young dancers.
